Troop 76 Newsletter
Update: November 18th, 2009
It's been a busy year so far with haf the scouts in First Aid Merit Badge with Mr. Philpot, and the other half in Citizenship Merit Badges with Mrs. Kayton, and the third half helping out all around. (THIS WAS A TEST - LET ME KNOW IF YOU CAUGHT THE MISTAKE HERE).
To date, we have
1 Eagle Scout with all requirements complete,
3 more Life Scouts with all merit badge requirments complete and Eagle projects in the planning stages, and
1 scout that has made Life and is working on the last required merit badges to complete Eagle.
We still have Fingerprinting for the younger guys and Orienteering to come in the Spring. Citizenship merit badge work will be going until as many scouts that have sought to complete them have done so (or as long as Mrs. Kayton can put up with the guys). Communication and Family Life Merit Badges are also offered by Ms. Jennings, but we'll try and hold off on those until the current wave of First Aid and Citizenships are complete.
We're putting together a hike or two that will require a backpack, so the Dec 7th meeting will be dedicated to seeing a backpack or two unpacked, discuss equipment that you may or may not want to purchase on your own, and discuss plans for our own hike.
Also on Dec 7th we will be conducting Board of Reviews, meaning Class A uniforms must be worn.
